HOMEOPATHY

What is a homeopathic medicine?

The active ingredients in homeopathic medicines are derived from plant, animal, mineral or chemical substances.

  • 53% Plant origin
  • 33% Mineral and chemical origin
  • 14% Animal origin

A homeopathic medicine is obtained from a precise and controlled process of successive homeopathic dilutions. With each homeopathic dilution, the medicine is deconcentrated and then vigorously shaken (also called “succession”). This dilution is used to manufacture the final homeopathic medicines.

For whom is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is suitable for everyone (adults, children, infants and the elderly). It can be used as much for the treatment of daily illnesses (coughs, colds, flu, dental flares, muscular pains, etc.) as for chronic pathologies (asthma , anxiety, fatigue and depression, arthritis, etc.)

In any case, you must respect the doctor’s recommendation and the advice of your pharmacist. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

Can homeopathic medicines be taken in conjunction with other medications?

There are generally no contraindications between allopathic and homeopathic medicines when taken simultaneously. Your health care practitioner may prescribe a homeopathic treatment alone or in combination with other medicines. It is important to follow their recommendations and ask for advice if in doubt. If you are unsure about a specific combination, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

What is the safety profile of homeopathic medicines?

Most of the time, homeopathic medicines are unlikely to interact with so-called conventional medications. They are usually devoid of side effects. If in doubt, seek advice from your healthcare practitioner or pharmacist.

Should I take homeopathic medicines with or without food?

We recommend taking the sublingual pellets in a clean mouth (taken apart from meals).

Why do I have to let the pellets dissolve under the tongue?

Boiron oral medicines should be dissolved in the mouth as they will be absorbed through the mucous membrane on the inside of the mouth. The mucous membrane is thinnest under the tongue, so absorption will be quickest when dissolved under the tongue. When chewed or swallowed, the pellets pass through the digestive system and thus take longer to act.

Do you have homeopathic medicines for chronic conditions? (e.g. hay fever, chronic sinusitis, eczema, herpes, etc.)

Most chronic conditions can be relieved with homeopathic medicines. You can search in Remedis to find a homeopathic solution. If you don’t find it, we recommend to ask advice to a skilled practitioner, trained in homeopathy.

Does homeopathy work on animal?

Homeopathic medicines have been used to treat animals for more than 150 years in France. The homeopathic medicines aren’t toxic for the animal and without residues in milk and meat.

How do I administer a homeopathic medicine to a baby?

Pellets or globules can be dissolved in a small amount of water and administered via a bottle or a glass. Remember to empty and refill daily. To know more about how homeopathy can help with baby ailments, consul tour article here: How Homeopathy Can Help with Baby Ailments – Remedis

Can I take more than one Boiron homeopathic medicine at a time?
